What should you toss?

Basically, any food that contains more than one ingredient is not considered clean.  If you live by this rule, you will be eating clean 90% of the time.

In addition to all non single ingredient foods, you should also toss any foods that contain no nutritional value.  So this means sugar, honey, and other single ingredient foods like this also need to go.

This will be a hard step for many people as you may have psychological attachments to certain foods, but if you do this, it will make a big difference in the long-term results you will see.

Now, once you’ve tossed all the problem foods, it’s time to grocery shop. You want to fill your kitchen full of foods that will help you stick with a clean eating plan.


Foods For A Clean Eating Plan

Stock up on all lean cuts of protein – grass fed beef, free range chicken, along with wild caught fish.  These should form the foundation of your diet.  Also be sure to include some free range eggs in there as well.

To that, you want to pick up as much fresh produce as possible.  The more variety, the better. If you can aim to eat all the colors of the rainbow each day, you can ensure that you’re taking in a complete dose of all the essential vitamins and minerals you need to stay healthy.

Finally, you also want to bring in some wholesome grains and healthy fats.  This means brown rice, quinoa, barley, and buckwheat.  All of these are in their natural state and unaltered by man.

For fats, choose olive oil, nuts, coconut oil, avocados, and flaxseeds.  These will provide you with the cleanest source of long-digesting energy. Add these in moderation to your plan.

Once you have all these foods present, you can then begin formulating your meal plan, using the foods you now have available to you.  As a result, you will have just created your very own clean eating plan.

Clean eating doesn’t need to be complicated. If you simply choose foods in their most natural state, you can eat right for your body, increasing your energy level, and naturally seeing a healthy rate of fat loss at the same time.
